Select the grade and topic you want. Then, choose from many language arts topics.
You can also select Math, Science, Fun & More, and Typing games, all leveled by grade!
Check out the online tests!
Create a free account and click “Community” at the page’s bottom. Then go to “Search for public activities” and enter your topic. There are FREE games in EVERY subject that teachers have created and shared! Of course, you can make your own game, too! What I love about these is that you can choose a game and eliminate all the ads and confusion around the game by:
- Choosing a game
- Hitting “Share”
- Go to “My Students” and “Set Assignment.” (Most games have this option, or you can become a free member to ensure you get it. This is the way to get the game free from distractions.)
- Hit “Start”
- Copy the link provided into your browser!
- AND Go to “My Results” and SEE your students’ work!
You will get a clean/plain game to play or assign ~ free from distractions!

“Reading games and activities expose children to various skills and reading strategies to help create better comprehension.”

PreK–Grade 2 Phonics and Reading Interactives
Grade 3–12 Reading Interactives
PARENTS, although this site isn’t free, it is very inexpensive, and I highly recommend it—Night Zookeeper—for reading and writing skills development! It’s the only interactive program I know that teaches writing. Children read, answer questions, and develop creative stories—with feedback from live educators!
- Grades 1-6
- Reading and WRITING skills development! Improves spelling, grammar, and WRITING skills!
- Very inexpensive
- PERSONALIZED feedback – children get feedback on everything they write from a team of educators.
- 1,000s of games and activities
Although not free, I highly recommend Lexia Core 5!
My school district uses it, and it works! Your child will start with an assessment and be placed at their reading level. Lessons are taught and practiced; your child cannot advance until they master previous lessons. It addresses phonemic/phonological awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, and more!
